Kenro Izu. Luoghi dell’anima

Kenro Izu. Luoghi dell’anima

The Japanese photographer Kenro Izu is world-renowned for the sophistication and refinement of his images, distinguishable in the subjects he has favored in over 50 years of career: still life, nude and, above all, the sacred places of the world. His approach goes beyond the simple representation of an architecture and the environmental context in which it is located. It implies an ever different process of study and learning, depending on the place and culture he wants to explore. History, traditions and beliefs, ritualism and knowledge of religions and cultures allow the traveler photographer to enter into symbiosis with sacred places, thus being able to render through the camera the synthesis of this “unique and special” relationship as an impressed plate. An experience full of meditation and contemplation, of a time that only photography can grant the artist.
