In Black & White

In Black & White
Existing as the memory of an exhibition of paintings, Black And White is an afterimage, a nuanced impression of the event of exhibition. The inconsistency in color, spatial representation, atmosphere and light between the actual exhibition and its documentation calls attention to the often ruptured experience and viewership of art. The images in this book play on the differences between reproduction and the reproduced, the printed afterlife of the exhibition, while concurrently acting as a comprehensive and unconventional exhibition in its own right.
