Picasso. The Complete Vollard Suite prints

This publication was prompted by the British Museum’s acquisition last year of The Vollard Suite (100 etchings produced by Picasso between 1930–37), on show at the museum from 3 May until 2 September. The prints are beautifully reproduced, and their key themes – the artist’s burgeoning interest in sculptural forms and the classical world – discussed. This is the first major reassessment of this seminal series since Picasso’s death.
