The 80s. A Topology (Paperback)

One of the reasons for revisiting the 1980s is the fact that so much of contemporary art reflects this legacy, although it often negates or ignores this period. Reconsideration of the 1980s may help us emphasise and reflect on certain aspects of art produced today. This will be a large-scale exhibition using all the museum’s spaces, and will assemble, for the first time in Portugal, a significant set of the key works of a decade that also signalled the entry of Portuguese art into the international area. This will be the first time that many of these works are to be exhibited in Portugal.
