Resignation and a glorification of the past are the most dominant threads in the inhabitants´ conversations. Like many other things, the cinema, ´mozi’ in Hungarian, has long since closed. Esther Kinsky´s own passion for the cinema moves her to bring the decaying mozi back to life.
Sobre Esther Kinsky
Poeta i traductora del polonès, l´anglès i el rus, Esther Kinsky (Renània, 1956) és una de les prosistas més destacades de la literatura alemanya. La seva primera novel·la, El riu, que publiquem ara en Perifèrica, va obtenir els premis Adelbert von Chamisso (2016), Franz Hessel (2014), Kranichsteiner Literature (2015) i SWR (2015). Amb la segona, Arbreda (Perifèrica, 2021), el Premi de la Fira del Llibre de Leipzig i el Düsseldorf Literature Prize, tots dos en 2018. En 2021 va ser guardonada...
