The Rebirth of painting in the late twentieth century

A study of the continued validity and variety ofpainting in he post-modern era. Bringing a psychological perspetive to the issues, the author argues that painting remains the first medium of the visual arts, in terms of its potential for innovation and influence on other art forms.
