Ana Kokkinos. An Ouvre of Outsiders

Ana Kokkinos is the Australian director of films Antamosi (1991), Only the Brave (1994), Head On (1998), The Book of Revelation (2006), and Blessed (2008), as well as the director of multiple television episodes of popular Australian dramas and docu-dramas. She is one of Australia´s most distinctive filmmakers, not least with her sustained focus on contemporary Melbourne and her bold depictions of ´outsiders´ - particularly in relation to ethnicity, sex, and sexuality. This book is the first major study on the director, providing new critical readings of all of her fictional films.
