Otto Kaan: Steigers

A series of twenty photographs displaying scaffold constructions, each one measuring approximately 8 meters in height, built by the artists at their own two-floor studio. Each construction was documented with two photographs, one taken from the ground floor and one from the first floor. The black and white original photographs were first reproduced making acetone transfers from laser prints. The best outcomes were then scanned in high–res, keeping all the irregularities of the transfers. The results were sent to a rotary press, where five A1 posters were printed on both sides and folded into a broadsheet newspaper.
