Keith Lowe va néixer en 1970 i va estudiar Literatura anglesa en la Universitat de Manchester. Després de treballar dotze anys com a editor de llibres d´Història, es va dedicar a temps complet a la seva carrera d´escriptor i historiador, i ara se´l reconeix a banda i banda de l´Atlàntic com una autoritat en la Segona Guerra Mundial i la postguerra.
