The end of development. Modernity, post-modernity and development

In this book, the author summarises the contesting ideas in develoment studies and new social moveements theory, and essentially rejects calls for the end of development. Using postmodern theory to dmonstrate that forms of dveloment can be complementary to emanciaptory social movements projects, the author dvelops an alternative model of development which incorporates the needs of peoples both South and North.
