The Bonfire of the Vanities

Wall Street bonds trader Sherman McCoy is a self-styled "Master of the Universe", until he finds himself lost in the Bronx at night, with a young black man under the wheels of his Mercedes, and his mistress in the driving seat.
Fuelled by the city´s outrage, a desperate journalist, a megalomaniac reverend and a conspiring assistant District Attorney all play their part in Sherman McCoy´s disastrous fall from grace.
